How do I grid a picture?

I am trying to take a jpg picture and either superimpose a grid over the
picture. Importing it into graph paper templates and/or excell places the
picture over the grid. I would like the picture BEHIND the grid so that you
can see both. Any suggestions?

Hi,

1.) I suggest you save the grid picture as a gif or png. Both of these
picture formats can store "transparent" areas. Cut out the squares
from your grid image and superimpose it over your jpg,
2.) Create a square from lines or rectangle tools. Change the inside
color to transparent,
Perform repeated copies in order to obtain a grid, superimpose your jpg
picture.

Note: If you don't have any (paint) tools, you could download either
"PhotoFiltre" or "Gimp" in order to perform the described manipulation.
Both programs are freeware (at least at the time I last downloaded
them).

I hope that helps.

You could paste the picture into Word, and then put it Behind a table
with a lot of rows and columns to create the "grid".
