Hi =?Utf-8?B?dGNhbnR3ZWxs?=,
I used word art and simple text to create a logo for my business. Now, I
want to combine the two images...logo & text... to create one single image.
How can I do this using MS Word?
Best would be to use a real graphics program. Copy/paste the WordArt into it,
then create the text as part of the same graphic.
Word cannot save graphics in a document directly as a separate file/graphic,
which is what I understand you to want. Saving as HTML will usually export
them, but even when they're grouped, as separate files.
There is a way in Word to create a "Word Picture" but since you don't tell us
which version of Word you have, I can't give you exact instructions on how to
get at the command. Generally, though, look for "Word Picture" in
Tools/Customize/Commands under "All commands". Drag it to the Drawing toolbar.
Click on the WordArt and copy it. Click the "Word Picture" button to open the
Picture Editor. Paste the Word Art into it. Format it with text wrap
formatting. Add the text box with the text to the picture. Click the button in
the little toolbar to make the picture "frame" fit the content. click the other
button "Close picture" to return to Word.
This will link all the parts together in a single graphic, which should export
as a single graphic when you save as a web page.
