How do i Hide fields so that they don't take up space on my form?

I have a drop-down list box with 5 categories that disappears to be replaced
by a list box that you can select off, then when you select, the list box
disappears and leaves an expression box containing the value of the list box
selected. My problem is that as one of these items could be selected in
every line of the expense form i have designed, accoutning for the size of
these three fields takes up too much room. What i would like to do is to
have the cell in the table reformat at the end to the width of the expression
box.

I cannot seem to get it to work anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi Adam,

If I create an InfoPath solution with a drop-down list box and immediately
to the right of this I have a List Box and finally immediately to the right
of the List Box I have a Text Box, as each one is hidden through
Conditional Formatting the next visible control "moves" to the left to take
up that space - are you not seeing this behavior?

If you would like the details of how I setup this sample, just let me know.

done them vertically, that seems all right a but large but bearing in mind
the size of the cascading list box

Hi Adam,

My apologies but I am not clear on your comment - did my suggestion help or
are you indicating you set up the controls vertically and it still works?
