How do I hide the connecting link from a milestone to its text

Hello,
I have created a timeline and added milestones to it. Inside the
milestone I have added names for each. When I drag one end of the line
connecting from the milestone to the text, it disapears however it leaves
handlebars or another line connecting the text of the milestone to the tip of
the timeline.. Can anyone please help me hide this?
