How do I hyperlink to an inline frame on a non-frames page?

I want to use an inline frame to display content on my home page. I want to
be able to click on the different buttons and have the hyperlinked page
appear in the inline frame. My home page is not a traditional frames page.
I am linking to the page I want to display, and then setting the target frame
as the inline frame, but nothing happens when you click on the button.
Please help!
