how do i import a chart from powerpoint into a word document?

Hello,

I am trying to import charts from powerpoint into a word doc. I created the charts in powerpoint. I tried to copy/ paste, but the formatting is a mess and I cannot edit anything once the pasted chart is in Word. I want to be able to import charts already created in powerpoint to avoid recreating the same data in Word. But I also will need to edit some of the titles, etc once I have imported the chart into Word.
