I use a programme that produces EPS grapghic files. How do I import and
display an EPS graphics file in in Word 2000? Word displays text' cannot show
graphic as no preview loaded with the EPS file'.

An EPS file is a list of instructions to the printer. It will only display
in Word if it has a preview image included.

An .eps file can be created with or without a .tif or .wmf preview. What
prints on your Postscript-capable printer is the Encapsulated Postscript
portion of the file. What Word displays on the screen is the preview portion
of the file, if there is one. The preview is usually a very-low-resolution
image, but if you need to see the preview in your Word file, you will have to
modify the settings in the program you use to produce the .eps files so that
the program produces an .eps file with preview.
