How do I import emails from outlook Express into Outlook 2003

I have had a new hard drive in my laptop and I need to import all emails from
Outlook Express (on my old hard drive which is in a caddy) into Outlook
2003. I am unable to locate the files for all of the folders on my old hard
drive. I have gone into Outlook Express on my old hard drive and selected
Tools, options, maintenance, store folders but when I go into Outlook 2003 on
my new hard drive and try and import using this information there are no
messages imported. Outlook itself on my old hard drive does not contain any
of my old messages. What am I doing wrong ? Please can someone help

Don't import....it causes problems, and won't work as it can't just import
the 'dead' files you've got saved. You need to export from OE to Outlook.
So, you will first need to get this data into OE on your new computer. Copy
it somewhere to your hard drive, set up an OE identity, tell it to use that
store folder (tools | options | maintenance), and when that's working, then
export to Outlook from OE. I'm presuming you will already have set up
Outlook on your new computer at this point.
