How do I import excess data

"I have a huge data base I am trying to import to Excel. It has allowed me
to import not quite 1/2 the info and I get a message that says "file contains
more data than will fit on this worksheet" it then directs me to use the text
import wizard to exclude data already improted. how do I do this?
