How do I import my "Signature" files from an old version of Outlo

I got a new computer and new version of "Office". (Student and Teacher
Edition 2003) I had a full data transfer (from my old computer to the new
one) done by the vendor. I then sucessfully imported my old "Data Files"
(.pst) ....but apparantly my rather large file of "signatures" did not import.

When I clidk on "Insert" they don't seem to be available.

How do I import them?

Signature files are .htm, .rtf, and .txt files in your Windows user profile Signatures folder. See http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

I went to the slipstick site and it's about as clear as mud.

I had already installed the new Outlook version before I did the data
transfer.

If I reinstall Outlook........will it find and import the files from the
older version that are now on my hard drive due to the data transfer.

The import wizard does not have a selection for the file types you describe.

No import is necessary or effective, since signatures are stored as separate files. You can locate and copy them from the Signatures folder on one machine to the Signatures folder on another machine. The page I suggested explains where the folder will be, based on your type of Windows login.
