How do I import previous address book and e-mails?

I have OUTLOOK 2000 and have been using it for several years. I received a
message saying the old files could not be opened and asked whether I wanted
to create a new one. I created a new one and everything seems to be working.
How do I import my old address book and get at old e-mails that I still want?

Reconnect your original pst-file via
File-> Open-> Personal Data File...

Did the message say why you couldn't open them? If they were oversized, you
need to reduce the size before you can get the address book and mail out of
