What sort of user-defined field? If you mean a user-defined field in an
Outlook contact list, try initiating your merge from Outlook (select the
contact list and use Tools|Mail merge. If you want to create a new kind of
word field code (like { MERGEFIELD } only different), you can't? If you mean
something else, let us know.
