How do I increase my maxlocksperfile registry entry

I am trying to add a column to a large table that puts in a random number
generator. When I begin to save after adding the random number generator it
says "File sharing lock count exceeded. Increas maxlocksperfile registry
entry." How do I do that? Thanks for your help!
