How do I input a sum calculation on MS Word Form

I have a MS Word form with three fields I want to calculate the sum of into a
4th field, but cannot find how to input the calculation.
I am current getting the total showing as £t.00

Insert another form field and set the type to calculation and the
calculation to
=Text1 + Text2 + Text3 where Text1 to 3 are the fields you wish to total and
the currency format to taste.
Set the three fields to Number, set a default number of 0, the currency
format to taste and check their calculate on exit check boxes.
