I have done that but still I could not. Maybe you could give more specific
steps. Thanks.

How do I insert a superscript or a footnote?

Do you mean superscript and subscript?
Select the text you wish to change and then either:
1. menu Format -> Text and change the setting in Position to
superscript or subscript
or 2. use the superscript or subscript buttons on the Format Text
toolbar

Not sure what you mean by a footnote. But, to make a superscript or
subscript, position the cursor where you'd like to create the superscript,
then go to menu bar > format > text. If not active, click on the font tab,
then toward the bottom under General, use the Position entry to select
superscript.

Hello Michael
Visio really does not have footnotes in the same sense as Word. You can
however attach a background page with a text box. You would place objects
as desired on the first page of your drawing leaving enough room near the
bottom of the page to view any footnotes from the background page. Insert a
second page into your drawing but select the background as the type. As
mentioned you can then enter notes on the background page. Once you have
the background page the way you want it select page setup for page one. Go
to the Page Properties Tab, in the background section hit the down arrow
button and select the desired background page.

I would like to add some additional Information on this question. The
simple quick answer is through the View menu in Visio. On the submenu
called Header and footer you can insert text on the page. There is a header
and footer section with options for left, center and right. There are also
margin settings along with font options. This is most likely what you were
asking about.
