How do I insert a master slide file?

Using PP 2007, how do I insert a "pre made" file and make it my master slide?
Does it need to be a certain format? I'm looking under the "Insert" tab. I
see noething to import a file, including "slides from file". thanks

The equivalent of Insert slides from File is Home tab > New slide > Reuse
Slides but is this really what you mean?

Thx John. I have a file (in a jpeg format) that I want to import and make my
master slide - so it's not already in a "slide" format. I remember doing this
in PP2003, but I don't have a clue with PP2007. Thanks

Fred,
View tab on the ribbon - Presentation views group - Slide master button -
select the top thumbnail that's the master - in the background group click
the little arrow - in the dialogue that appears select radio button next to
picture fill - click File button - browse to your jpg select and insert,
close.
