How do I insert an Excel file into a word document?

I have an excel spreadsheet inserted into a word document. However, when I go
to edit the spreadsheet, it doesn't return to it's original format within the
word document. It is missing a column. Why is this happening?

Hi fireman,

You can usually overcome this by opening the object from Within Word, then
dragging the right-side frame handle to the right so as to increase the
number of visible columns. If this is not sufficient on its own, you might
also have to reduce the column widths slightly.

Cheers

Thanks. I've tried that and the right side frame will not stay at the "new"
position. It is almost like a toggle is turned on that doesn't allow for
resizing. Any other ideas?

Hello fireman-

Assuming the Excel file was inserted as an embedded object using the
Insert>Object>From File procedure...

It may be that you are attempting to set your width to something that falls
within the span of a column. The object has to be sized based on entire
columns. If that is the problem, you might try making the next column to the
right of the data very narrow and including it in your resizing.

If a different method was used to include the Excel file, however, it may be
something else.
