On the standard Contact form in Outlook, you can insert a Contact picture.
How do I go about to insert an Image on a custom form that I have designed?
Ideally, I want to click on an empty Image box so that I can select the
picture from a file location. Can somebody help?

Dear Sue,
I've studied the article at outlookcode.com. This seem to be the answer to
my problem, however, I wasn't able to get this example to work. My aim is to
be able to load several pics into my custom designed form. Once you loaded
the necessary fields + coding, I'm not sure how to enter the location of the
picture file when you run the Form? Can you pls give a more detailed
explanation.

Re your book: Microsoft Outlook 2007 Programming. Is it possible to buy a
digital version of your book online? I live in Cape Town and will likely have
to wait 3-4 weeks for a printed copy! Will the book teach me basic + advance
Outlook programming skills?

Thanx for being so helpful. Gideon

In the code example on that page, the location of the picture file is stored in the item's BillingInformation field so that each item created with the form can have a different picture. You can also use a naming convention or provide custom fields if you need more fields to store picture file paths.

I don't know what the publisher's plans might be for producing an electronic version of my Outlook 2007 book, but they did do that for the earlier book, after it had been out for a couple of years. It covers basic to intermediate Outlook programming. For advanced techniques, such as building add-ins, I'd recommend the books by Randy Byrne and Ken Slovak.
