How do I insert short string of LTR text in a RTL paragraph?

Hello,

I'm using Word 2007, and I want to create a paragraph in English that runs
from right to left. But, within the paragraph, I want to insert a short
string of Hebrew text that runs from left to right.

To illustrate: abc abc abc xxx xxx xxx abc abc abc.
"abc" = English (normal right to left)
"xxx" = Hebrew (read left to right)

If I use the text direction in the Paragraph dialogue box, it affects the
direction of the entire paragraph. I only want to reverse the direction of a
few words or phrases, not the entire paragraph.

If anyone knows how to do this, I'd be most appreciative. Thank you!!

Don't do anything other than switching your input language to Hebrew
(which you do with the "Language Bar" in the Windows (not Word) status
bar), which will be there if you have installed a Hebrew keyboard in
Vista (Start > Control Panel > Regional & Language Options > Keyboards
& Languages > Change Keboards > Add).

Thank you grammatim, I appreciate your suggestion, but it doesn't get me
there. Here's what happens.

I'm pasting Hebrew Unicode into a Word 2007 document. Here's the behavior:

ACTUAL (when pasted): abc abc abc zyx1 zyx2 zyx3 abc abc abc
SHOULD BE: abc abc abc zyx3 zyx2 zyx1 abc abc abc

Although the individual Hebrew words pasted read correctly, the total Hebrew
text string is reversed.

I can only force the Hebrew string to be ordered correctly by changing the
Paragraph radio button to 'Right-to-left' -- but, this changes the entire
paragraph, English and Hebrew thus making a mess out of everything.

If anyone has suggestions, I'm grateful ... Thank you!!

I once discovered that pasting Hebrew, even if it's properly Unicoded,
doesn't work, I suppose because the signal that tells Word to change
direction (and put the vowels under the letters etc.) isn't present in
the bit you pasted.

If you don't want to type the entire Hebrew passage, what happens if
you type the first few and last few letters, and then paste the
remainder of the passage into the middle of what you just typed?

Thanks for your suggestion 'grammatim,' but alas, no luck.

I tried the following:

1) typing a few Hebrew letters and then pasting. But, even though the
individual letters in each pasted Hebrew word are correctly ordered, the text
phrase is backwards (as I illustrated above).

2) dis-selecting 'Smart Paste' in the advance options. No effect.

I'm at a loss.

If anyone knows how to paste a short Hebrew unicode text string into a Word
2007 document, and have the word order appear correctly, I'd be most
appreciative of your guidance.
