how do I insert text names on a downloaded picture

I've copied a picture of the digestive system to a word document. Now I'm
supposed to label the parts on lines provided. How do I insert text to label
the parts?

Word's Autoshapes (available from the Drawing toolbar) include a set named 'callouts', which allow you to have a 'text box' with any
one of a number of pointer types that you can drag to the relevant part of your picture.
