How do I install 2007

M

murph

I bought Office Enterprise 2007 and I when I try to install it I get the
reply, "the language of this installation package is not supported by your
system".

I have Windows XP with SP2.

Thanks for the help if anybody can.

M

murph

I bought it online through the military.

I Googled that error message and there were several hits but most seemed to
have been about the beta version. Did you select a US version when you
ordered it? (I'm assuming you are US military.)

Yeah your assumption is correct. I did the same thing with Google and called
Microsoft but Bill Gates wants more of my money...haha. Yes I bought the US
version and yes I'm in the military. Sorry for being so sarcastic but I'm
just a little mad for calling Microsoft and telling them all my info and
getting nothing out of it.

It was my impression that installation issues were free but that could have
changed.

I know it's frustrating and I too resort to sarcasm when I'm running into
brick walls. Let me see if I can dig up that info about installation help.

This page says that you get 90-days of no-charge tech support *from the date
you place your first support request*. It's a toll-free number. Call them
and tell them that it's an installation issue. If they mention charging you,
remind them of this website. (No way I'd pay $49 for that. I'd pay some
local tech center $49 to install it for me and be done with it.)

Volume license is the reason, The "consumer" versions get the "90-day"

I am having the same issue you have. I have Office 2003 installed on a XP
pro box. and when I try to install Office 2007 I get the "The language of
this installation package is not supported by your system" error.

I have been looking all over the place for an answer with no luck so far.

I bought the enterprise version as well through my company home use program.
It doesn't work. Same error you're getting. 20 bucks wasted... I sure wish
