How do I install a foot pedal for transcription?

I have an Olympus RS-23 foot pedal that I use to transcribe for RapidText. It
worked fine on my old Dell, but on the new 4700 I cannot get the program to
detect the pedal, and I am getting an error that the USB device is not
configured properly and I need to reinstall the driver. Only trouble is,
there IS no driver software provided, the computer is supposed to
automatically recognize it. Any solutions?
