How do I install Japanese IME using Word 2003 with XP O/S?

Hi,
After some time trying to get the ability to use Japanese text in Word 2003.
I appear to be at the same place other people here have arrived. I have tried
to follow various links in the preceeding thread and still no luck. Does
anyone know if it is possible to use Japanese characters in Word 2003 and is
there a dowload IME available for this? Or is it a matter or purchasing more
software.
