How do I install MSDE?

This is a re-post. Please excuse but the first ended up in the wrong
Discussion Group.

How do I install MSDE in Office 2000? I can not locate it on the CD and
understand it is to be installed manually from the CD.

I also saw some info on SSE as a replacement for MSDE. Wha are the
requirements to get that?
