How do I install Word 2000 having mislaid installation Code

I had to install a new Windows XP home Edition because my existing one became
faulty. As a result I lost my Word 2000 programme. As I have the original
disc which I installed it from I tried again but was asked for the Code which
would appear to have come off sometime, although the instruction on the case
states that "this programme came with an advanced hologram technology that
verifies it s authenticity." How can I install this programme in the present
circumstances?

Been a long time since I "had to" do this. How about trying all 1's? Another
universal key that worked with many of their products of that era followed a pattern
like 123-1234567 or somesuch. Good luck!
