how do i integrate an external Personal Data Keeper with Project ?

Hey people, i am currently trying to set up project server within my company
and i have hit a brick wall that on one seem to have the information on, i
want to use our current Personal data keeper and have that program feed in to
project server , all the information i find says that i can do it but not how
to do it. if any one has don this could you please forward on how you manage?

Andrew, I think you need to provide more information in your question,
but I will take a stab at it. There are a couple of ways to do this I
think:

1. If you use Active Directory, you can extract data from your
personnel data into AD and then synch AD to Project Server. That
technology (the synch part) is build into Project Server.

2. If you don't use AD or don't want to use that method, you can use
Project Server's PDS (available as a free download) and to load the
data into Project Server. In a project I was just on, the client
initially loaded all resource data and all outline code and custom
field values using the PDS. It requires good development talent and
knowledge of the DB structure, but it can done very efficiently once
you work out the code.
