How do I join tables after they have been split with a forced page break?

I just upgraded to Word 2003, and I'm having trouble re-joining tables that were originally split by forcing a page break. In Word XP, tables could be re-joined by deleting the space between the two tables. I've tried this approach with the new Word and it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Hi Maurice,

I cannot replicate the problem in Word 2003. If you can send me a copy of
the document I will take a look at it. Send to (e-mail address removed)

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
