How do I keep the cursor from disappearing everytime I hit enter? I am using
both Word2002 and 2003. I've tried all the help options with no luck.

This could be a problem with your graphics card driver. Have you tried updating
that from the manufacturer's website?

Another possibility would be to reduce the hardware acceleration under Windows.

Brand new computer with VISTA Basic and the cursor disappers or never really
appears. Such as when on an internet site--- the cursor appears on the
outskirts but disappears when it moves to the 'interior' or to a box where I
could write text. It also disappears when typing a Word 03 document. Even
now it is a solid black rectangle that is moving across this page as I write.
Is that normal? It's very frustrating. I am setting up the computer for my
disabled Dad and this will drive everybody crazy. I had tried to make the
cursor larger, so I will go back and toggle between the 500% and normal to
see if that helps. If so, good! But then the question remains as to how the
cursor can be magnified without this chaos.
