How do I link data in 1 cell on 1 worksheet (WS) to another WS

=Sheet1!A1 entered in any cell on Sheet2

Alternate route...................

Type an = sign in a cell on Sheet2 but don't hit ENTER key just yet.

Switch to Sheet1, select a cell and hit the ENTER key.
