How do I link slides from one Powerpoint file to another?

Want to create one larger Master presentation and several smaller
sub-presentations with slides linked to the Master. That way I can update
just the master and the sub-presentations get updated automatically.
Powerpoint can link to Excel and Word files, but can see that is will link to
slides in another Powerpoint file.
