Is it possible to open visio document as a pdf by clicking a link on the
database.

1. The user logs into a Remedy UI that will have the links
2. the user clicks on the link will open a pdf (converted from a visio)...

is there a script anyone knows or can guide me to?

thnx

You may not open pdf file, nor visio dwawing as pdf, but you can insert pdf
file on the Visio drawing by menu, insert, object. And for your item 2, when
you double click the inserted pdf object, the pdf reader will start up with
the pdf file.

that question is probably not unique to visio since it would apply to any
document saved as a pdf file. you might want to check with the Remedy folks.

Is there a way to convert a visio with multiple tabs into a pdf file showing
those tabs?...we want to convert visio docs into pdf files to reduce the
footprint...for the links emanating from Remedy, they should be able to guide
me to the grail!

thanks

that's more of a pdf creator issue. I just created a simple two page drawing
and sent it over to the program I use and both pages were inserted into the
pdf file. Pdf creater applications are just printer emulators so what prints
out should be what you get to the file.
