how do I lock a table but not the text within?

I have created more than one table on a page. I cannot stop the table
changing size when text is entered. Any suggestions?

1. Open document with table
2. Right Click in Table
3. Choose 'Table Properties'
4. Click on 'Cell'
5. Click on 'Options'
6. Check 'Text Fit'

On the Row tab of Table Properties, set an Exact height for the rows. On the
Table menu, choose AutoFit | Fixed Column Width.
