How do I lock borders in a table in Word?

D

Deb

I want to create a table in Word and type without the grid lines and borders
moving to make my lessons plans for school. My headings and cells move as I
type.

Disable "Autofit to contents" (Table Properties | Table | Options) and set
preferred widths for your columns.

I assume that it is the width of the columns that you want to fix. To do
that, from the Tables menu, select Properties and then click on Options on
the Table tab of the Table Properties dialog and uncheck the box against
"Automatically resize to fit contents"

The width of the column is not the problem. It is the bottom line of the
cell that I want to freeze. Thanks for your help.

I've done that but it's the bottom line that I want to keep from moving.
Thanks for your help.

Set the rows to an exact height (Table Properties > Row tab >Specify height
Row height is exactly...)
