How do I make a transparent for overhead projector

The same way you make any other document. Then you print to special acetate
instead of paper.

... and, although this has nothing to do with Word, you probably need to
tell your printer that it is printing on an acetate - otherwise it may use
far too much ink and leave you with transparencies that never dry.
