How do I make an appendix to appear in a content?

Whatever, the appendix i 've done, doesnt appears in the content. I updated
the table of content, I've checked the caption of an appedix. There is no
cross-reference to the appendix either.

Is the title of the appendix formatted in a style which is set to be
included into the table of contents?
