How do I make $ appear in formula ex: =RIGHT(A1,6)

I am trying to copy a specific piece of info from one cell containing (for
example)

2 air conditioners @ 200.00 each = 400.00 (all of that info is in A1)

I need to copy the 400.00 to the next cell using this formula =RIGHT(A1,6)
However, I am not able to insert the $ sign, which I truly need to have in
that next column. The format/style/currency selection does not seem to be an
option.
Please help.
