How do I make changes to a scanned document?

I have hard copies of a document which needs to be changed. I would like to
scan it and then make the alterations. My Epson printer came with the
software to do this but I haven't been able to get any help from them as yet.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need to scan useing the OCR software, assuming your epsom was supplied
with such software
Any help would be supplied by that OCR software, which is often a cutdown
version of the retail OCR software pkge

Hardly a Microsoft Office question but...

What problems do you have using the software (I assume an OCR
application like Omnipage) that came with the printer?
What programs did you get?
