how do i make excel sheet formulas to work in an outlook form tha.

I have an outllok form in which I inserted an excel spreadsheet. I copied
data from another speradsheet into thissheet on the form. The data was copied
but the formulas did not get copied. I can write formulas in the form, but
the lookup and vlookup functions do not work on the form.
Any ideas,
