How do I make formulas run?

I had a large working excel workbood, I updated some of the pages to print
better by using the concatanate function to shorten the visual formula
layouts. Now whenever I enter new data, the formulas embedded in the
equation will not run until I click the save icon. Anyone ever had this
problem?

In Excel, click on Tools | Options | Calculation | click the "Automatic"
radio button | OK.
