I have a page that has a hyperlink on it where the href is to a .xsn file I'm
hosting. Based on what I've read, my assumption was that this would cause a
popup to ask me if I want to open the .xsn and when I did, that Infopath
would launch on the file. What I'm finding is that the browser (Internet
Explorer) simply displays the binary contents of the .xsn file instead.
Suggestions?
If I manually start Infopath and use its open dialog and specify the same
URL as in the above mentioned hyperlink, then it all works as expected.
However, what I want is for someone to simply be able to launch Infopath by
clicking the link in their browser.
