How do I make inbox updates, over VPN, update to current date?

When Outlook updates to my office server, over a VPN connection. It only
updates to November 2005 and keeps looking like its updating but proceeds no
further. I only happens on this computer, my laptop updates to the minute.

Version of Outlook? If Outlook 2003, are you running in Cached Mode?
If so disable Cached Mode and see if you can see all your mail now. If yes,
rename your ost-file to .old and enable Cached Exchange mode again. If you
are on a slow connection and have a large inbox you might to do this at the
office or try scanost.exe first to see if it can fix errors in the file.
