how do I make my own dictionary?

A

Ann Layton

I want to make my own dictionary and would want one that would automatically
put them in alphabetical order. Also to let me know if a word had been
repeated.

1. Create your dictionary list of words in Word and then use the sort to sort
them.
2. Name it YourNameHere.dic

for Word 2007
3. Open Word
4. Go to the Round Office Button
5. Select Word Options at the bottom right of the dialog
6. Go to the PROOFING selection
7. Click on Custom Dictionaries
8. Click the ADD button
9. Navigate to where you saved your .dic file and click OK.

That should work for you.

For Word 2000-2003
3. Open Word
4. Go to TOOLS > OPTIONS
5. Select the SPELLING & GRAMMAR tab
6. Click on Custom Dictionaries
7. Click the ADD button
8. Navigate to where you saved your .dic file and click OK.

Hopefully that helps
