Hi,

I would like to make my TOC active so that people can scan the mouse over a listing in the TOC and be taken to that part of the document...anyone know how? I can do it on my PC but can't manage it on my Mac.

Thanks.

If generated by the TOC feature in Word the entries are hyperlinked
automatically in Mac Word similar to the PC versions. The differences are
that on a Mac only the page numbers operate actively rather than the entire
entry & thte numbers need only be "clicked" rather than Ctrl+Clicked. Point
to the page numbers rather than the text of the entry.

FWIW, the Document Map may be a more preferable tool for the purpose in the
first place. If you aren't familiar with it go to View> Navigation Pane,
select Document Map from its drop-down if necessary.

You're looking for Hyperlinks in the TOC. The TOC generator in Mac Word
can't do them: they cut that feature from the Mac product.

As Bob says, it can only place cross-references around the page numbers.

But Bob is also correct: the Document Map is much more useable :)

Cheers
