How do I make name appear when I hover my mouse over an image?

I want to add points to a map of our facility and have the name of each area
appear when you hover your mouse over it. Can this be done in Word and how
would you do it?

I wouldn't say it cannot be done in Word, but it is hardly the proper
tool for the job (you can try inserting an image, and circle AutoShapes
that are hyperlinked to a dummy path but show a proper text).

I think IMAGEMAPs became popular with early HTML, so that's how one can
go about this subject:
