How do I make Office 2007 work with windows live mail

Can somebody tell me how I can make Office 2007 applications send mail from
the programs themselves? I decided NOT to install Outlook, as I have been
using windows live mail desktop. The email button is grayed out.

There must be a place in Office where one defines the mail program - where
is it? This has nothing to do with commerical or non-commerical - if I right
click on the file itself, it gets sent.

Does anybody know where that option is?

Windows Mail is not a MAPI mail client - Office requires either simple MAPI
(OE) or a full MAPI (Outlook) client for the send-to function to work.

Thanks, this makes sense. Is this due to the fact that this is a student
version? Office 2003 did not have these problems.

I am having the same problem and I have been trying to get my E-mail and fax
to work after upgrading from Windows XP to Vista, because using Windows Mail
my buttons options are all grayed out.

Does this mean I am unable to use Windows Mail with Office 2007 Office Home
Student edition? If so this is really crazy that Microsoft would not
integrate Windows mail into Office 2007 products in order to use all
functions.

Can you Download Outlook 2007 and is it guaranteed to fix this issue?
