How do I make Outlook 2003 send/receive when starting up?

I read and tried a couple of solutions posted to this question, but I still
can't get Outlook to send/receive on start up. I recently did a System
Restore on my computer and so I'm sure that has something to do with it. I
set up my accounts exactly as I did before, I'm not sure how to proceed.

I don't know what an srs file is, much less how to locate one. When I
searched srs file in the help menu, nothing specific came up. I tried using
the Find button, but to no avail. I don't know what a "mail profile" is.

I tried creating another "group" by clicking "New" in the Define Send/Receive
Groups window and following the instructions. When I relaunched Outlook, it
still won't automatically send/receive. I have tried leaving the interval at
5 minutes, which is where Outlook automatically puts it, and changing it to
10 minutes as per some users' suggestions. I'm all out of ideas....any one
have any input?

You can find your srs-file here;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

OK, thank you Robert. I did a search on my computer and did find a file with
a .srs in the name. It wouldn't let me open the file- I got the "Windows
needs to know what program created it" message, and Outlook was not even
listed in the drop down menu of programs to choose from...strange. Anyway, I
was able to select it in the search window list and rename it, which I did by
backspacing over "srs" and typing old, which caused it to just revert to
"Outlook" in the list with no extension after it. It didn't work, Outlook
still not sending/receiving on startup.
