How do I make project point to a custom workspace?

When I view the details of a project (MyProj) from Project Web, in the upper
left is a link that says
"Go to current project workspace (MyProj)"

I do not want the link to go there.
Instead, I have a completely custom SharePoint site which has nothing to do
with project at all. In this SharePoint site, everytyhing is set up the way
that I want, proper names, locations, URLS, permissions, etc.

How do I update that link so that it will point to the SharePoint workspace
that I have created on my own?

This is important because when a project is completed, I clean up the
project server database, including the workspace. Also, things go wrong
with the projects in project server periodically, and need to be wiped clean
and re-created. That's another reason why I have my key documents managed
external to Project Server.

Thanks,

Ashley:

There's no real good answer to this one. If you change the hyperlink of
record under manage SharePoint sites, this breaks the links to issues, risks
and documents from the menu and their sub menus as these do not use the
database record to construct the links. Only the "Go to select project
workspace" uses the link entered in the database for it's navigation.
Further, you will not be able to perform synchronization and other
authentication services using a custom site, and your issues and risk counts
will not tally.

I guess the answer, short of some serious code changes, is mostly no.
