How do I make the Access data project work with my $namedinstance

How do I make the Access data project work with my $namedinstance of MSDE?

I have MSDE on a server installed as a second instance to avoid any update
problems with databases on the default instance.

When I create my Access project, I can see it is listed in the default
instance of MSDE, but I want to use the named instance of MSDE. When I osql
to the $namedinstance, my db is not there, instead it is listed in the
default intance of MSDE.

I'm sure there is a simple way, but I haven't found it yet.

If I remember correctly, all you have to do is to add the name of the
instance after the name of the server, separated by a backlash \; something
like: MyServer\MyInstance .

BTW, installing a second instance will have a strong penalty on total memory
requirement for both instances.
