How do I make the Email delivery status window re-appear?

Up to now, when clicking the "Send/Receive" button in the Office 2000 Outlook
toolbar, a little window came up showing progress of mail download or send,
e.g. "downloading message 1 of 10".

This seems to have disappeared so nothing happens when clicking
"Send/Receive" How can i make it reappear please?

You should see in the lower right-hand corner a send/receive activity
message, right-click on that and show details.
