How do I make toolbars active?

I was playing around with a database that I have just created and I right
clicked in the Groups window and a screen poopped up. I clicked a few things
thinking I can undo after seeing what it did. Now when I access my database,
I do not get a dialog box and my toolbars are grayed out. How do I get back?

Without knowing exactly where you were playing and what you clicked on, this
is a little difficult, however, two suggetions:

1. When you try to open the database, hold down the SHIFT button on your
keyboard until the database window shows up. Depending on what you did,
SHIFT might allow you to bypass the startup settings you accidentally
changed.
2. Create a new blank database and import everything from your first
database into the new one....this might be the better way to go right away.
